Teatro Espressivo presents, in association with TNT Britain Theatre, the live staged production of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, directed by Paul Stebbings. The murder of Caesar is the most famous crime in history. But is it truly a crime? This is the central question. Is the murder of a tyrant justified? Is Caesar a tyrant or is he about to become one? Once Caesar is assassinated, democracy is overwhelmed by populism, and corruption eats away at its lofty goals. At that moment, Brutus and Cassius kill each other and the violence rebounds from them, as they are watched by the ghost of the great man they murdered in the name of justice.
